The peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a staple of the American schoolchild’s lunchbox. Apparently the original flavor of “jelly” used was grape, which seems rather baffling to the non-US palate. You’ll struggle to find grape jelly in many supermarkets outside of the States, so if you love it, stock up!
