Although Halloumi is wonderful with many things it is just as wonderful when served on its own.
Ingredients
225grams Halloumi Cheese
1 Lemon
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Instructions
1. As the barbecue is heating up remove the Halloumi from its packaging and slice in slabs eachbetween ¼ and ½ inch thick.
2. Now take the lemon and cut this into 4 to 6 slices. The slices must not be too thin or they willstick to the barbecue grill when you cook them.
3. As soon as the barbecue has heated up brush each side of the Halloumi cheese with olive oiland the same with the lemon slices. Then place them directly on to the barbecue and cook. The lemon slices should take between 1 and 2 minutes to cook whilst the cheese will take about 6 minutes to cook. Don’t forget to turn the lemon slices and the Halloumi over half way through cooking.
4. As soon as everything is cooked place the cheese on a plate and squeeze the juice out of acouple of the lemon slices before placing the remaining slices as garnish on the plate. Then serve to your guests.
