Australians may favor the multicolored disco sandwich that is “fairy bread,” but the real champions of the sprinkles sandwich are the Dutch. They favor chocolate sprinkles (the word “sprinkles” in Dutch, “hagelslag,” rather endearingly translates into English as “hailstorm”) sandwiched between white bread. It’s crunchy, it’s sweet, and it seems just a little bit wrong, which, of course, makes it all the more enjoyable.
Makes 1

Sprinkles, of your choice
