Honey Ginger Grilled Salmon
The honey and ginger help to enhance the flavor of the salmon a great deal.
Ingredients
680grams Salmon Fillets
1 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
80ml Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
80ml Orange Juice
60ml Honey
1 Green Onion Chopped
Instructions
1. In a large resealable bag place the ground ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce, orange juice,honey and green onions. Close the bag and shake vigorously to ensure that the entire ingredients are combined well together.
2. Open the bag and into this place the salmon fillet and tightly seal the bag closed. Now gentlyturn the bag over several times to help coat the fillet evenly in the marinade before then placing it in the refrigerator for between 15 and 30 minutes. The longer you leave the salmon in the marinade the more of the sauces flavors will be absorbed by the fish. During this time also turn the bag over occasionally.
3. As soon as the barbecue is heated up lightly oil the grill and place the salmon on to it. Do notthrow any remaining marinade away as you will use this to baste the fish whilst it is cooking.
4. Cook the fish for between 12 and 15 minutes depending on how thick the fillet is or until itflakes easily with a fork. Then serve immediately with a crisp green salad, boiled new potatoes and some crusty bread.
